His movement, technical ability, and clinical finishing helped Atlético maintain their title charge, culminating in a dramatic final-day draw against Barcelona at the Camp Nou, securing their first league title in 18 years. Villa also played a part in Atlético’s run to the UEFA Champions League final, adding depth and leadership to the squad. Though he left the club after just one season, his contributions were vital to one of the greatest campaigns in Atlético Madrid’s history.
